Yakima, WA

Traho’s involvement began with site evaluation for access, on-site circulation, image and visibility from this heavily traveled street location. Expansion needs for both the building and drive-up lanes were included in the planning process.

Traho completed design, cost estimating, bidding and construction observation services, and the following post construction warranty period. Integrating Central Valley Bank's input into the design solution was a very important aspect of the project. The nature of financial institutions is changing and branch facilities exhibit special needs; thus, the floor plan is new, created from scratch. A key technical aspect of the bank was review and coordination with bank and security equipment vendors.

The building was nominated for and won the 1996 Greater Yakima Chamber of Commerce "Yakima's Extra Special" (YES) Award in the large business category. This award recognizes businesses that have improved the community's image by a new construction or remodeling project.

In 2011, Traho was contracted to design a 2,355 square foot addition to the original building. Challenges for the project were to stay within the setbacks while providing the additional square footage the bank required meeting the parking needs of the new building size. 75% of the site was modified and redesigned to meet these requirements.

Traho completed design, cost estimating and bidding in August of 2011 with the project completion December 2012.
