13-10 PUD Kittitas County

Master Plan - PUD #1 of Kittitas County

Ellensburg, WA

With the stated goal of long range planning, Traho completed a master plan for the multiple buildings and material yard at the PUD’s existing 3.5 acre site. Office functions for public interface and engineering staff, truck barn, warehouse, meeting space and various storage uses were evaluated; demolition, expansion and renovation projects were proposed as a series of phases. Truck, forklift, personal and public vehicles were all accommodated in specific patterns of circulation; mature trees were retained, as was the rural character of building materials, in planning for the future. Traho coordinated input from City zoning, building and public works departments as the review of code and jurisdictional issues was addressed. A geotechnical report was solicited due to unique slope conditions, in anticipation of locating the new 9,600 SF warehouse, the first construction project to be undertaken in 2014.
